SALVATION

In 1 John 4:8 it says that "God is love." We have a God that cares about our worries, our circumstances, our heartaches and well-being. God gave His Son in exchange for our sins because He loves us. Jesus said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends," found in John 15:13. Yes, Jesus calls us friends. We might assume that He made that sacrifice in vain, because we're not sinners, and we didn't ask Him to do that. Well my friend, He did it anyway because the Bibles says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
We might say to ourselves that we live a moral life, full of good deeds. But the question I present to you is...are you going to heaven, and do you believe in a hell? The scripture says in Roman 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Your question might be right now, "So if we're so bad, why would heaven be an option for us? " Well, because Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we we're yet sinners, Christ died for us." Yes, the Son of God, Jesus the Christ said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
All other religions profess that they know the way to enlightenment and eternal life, and they are willing to guide you there. But Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and I am the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. " John 14:16. You see, Jesus is not a religion and He's more than a relationship, He's an experience! If we have not acknowledged Him as our personal Lord and Savior, we are still in sin and will continue to do so. In Romans 6:23 it says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ." So, how can we accept the free gift of eternal life? Romans 10:13 simply puts it, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Now, would you please give me a minute in exchange for eternity? If you want to receive Jesus in your heart, and to be assured that heaven will be your home, let's call on His name together and repeat this prayer after me:

Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sins.
I believe You have died on the cross for me.
I believe You have risen from the grave.
You sit at the right hand of the Father,
And plead to Him on my behalf.
Lord Jesus, save me.
And separate me from worldy desires.
All that I have, I give to you.
And all that You offer me, I gladly receive.
Lord help me to pray.
Help me to read, and understand, and to obey.
Help me to love others and to reflect Your love.
Let me live a new life in You, as You show me how.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth... Amen!
